How high of a fence do you need for pitbulls?
We always recommend at least a six foot high fence when fencing in a yard for a dog. If you have an existing fence that is shorter than six feet, take it down and replace it with one that it at least six feet high and hard to climb.
If the dog can scramble high enough to get their head, front legs and about half of their body weight on the other side of the fence they will likely be able to slide over the top of the fence to land on the other side. Most dogs cannot jump higher than 6 feet.
